Frankie's Wings 'n Things is a family-oriented restaurant well-known for its wings. Frankie's started on Banana River Drive on Merritt Island. This Melbourne location opened in August 1990. As far as food and drink go, For the wings, Frankie's has nine degrees of hotness, Buffalo, garlic, teriyaki and garlic teriyaki. 9/11 is the hottest, spiciest wing. No. 4 and higher are the spicy ones. Some of the "things" at Frankie's include oysters, potato skins, mozzarella sticks, broccoli cheese puffs, burgers, sandwiches, salads, wraps, rock shrimp, crab legs, snow crabs and clams. Feel like taking Frankie's wings and things home? The restaurant does a lot of "to-go" orders. Most popular wing: No. 3, regular style. From 1 to 7 p.m. daily, get half-price wells and drafts. Frankie's has a full liquor bar. Items on the menu are under $9.
JD's Sports Bar and Grill is a laid-back sports bar where the staff will do anything to make sure you leave happy and comfortable. Grab a spot on the porch or a seat at the bar for a taste of the NFL Sunday Ticket. JD's comfortable atmosphere makes it a great place for you to unwind. Happy hour is from 3 to 7 p.m. weekdays. Most items on the menu are in the $9 range.

Long Doggers brings its Margaritaville style of dining to Minton Road. Forget that the street is always busy, because leisurely beach dining is just a Long Doggers away. Opt for the outdoor patio for people-watching, particularly during the many special events Long Doggers hosts. Long Doggers hot dogs, such as the Johnny O'Dog, are legendary, as are the wings. We recommend the garlic teriyaki wings. The tuna appetizer is unforgettable, too. The latest entree to make a splash is the mahi taco, three soft flour tortillas filled with mahi-mahi, lettuce, spicy ranch and pico de gallo. That costs you $7.95 and is served with fruit, pickle and cole slaw. Happy hour is from 8 p.m. to close Tuesday and Thursday, where you can two-for-one domestic drafts. Get 35-cent wings from 8 p.m. to close Monday nights and 35-cent steamed clams on Sundays all day. Get two-for-one wine from 5 p.m. to close Wednesdays. Tuesday night is car night, and Thursday night is Brevard's biggest bike night. The fun starts at 6 p.m. for both events. Look for live music on bike night, and steel drums from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesdays.

It's all about the wings here at Frankie's Wings and Things. Sauces offered are mild (No. 1) to Dial 911 (No. 9) sauce. They range in hotness from mild, medium, regular, extra hot, ridiculous, "call the fire department," "call the medics," "call Frankie" and Dial 911. The "things" the restaurant offers are finger foods like onion rings and fries. Offer fare includes burgers, quesadillas and salads. We're told the signature item is chicken coop, french fries with cheese and bacon. Frankie's serves beer and wine. Bucket specials on beer. Items on the menu are under $9.
Hurricane Grill and Wings is a place that specializes in chicken wings and related platters, with some beer to wash it down. Menu items are mainly under $9, and includes signature dishes such as the garlic and parmesan fries, as well as burgers, sandwiches, salads and desserts. There are dozens of beers on the menu, which also is heavy with specials. Those include the $6.99 daily lunch special from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. to Friday late happy hour with $2 draft beer from 8 p.m. to closing.
Coasters Pub offers a laidback fun environment with 135 kinds of beer, including several not found very often in this area. Football games are displayed on 13 televisions throughout the pub, so you're sure not to miss your favorite team. Happy hour is from 3 to 7 p.m. every day, with $1 off most drafts. Friday nights boast live music -- acoustic guitar. Chicken wings come in teriyaki, hot, garlic teriyaki, cajun, barbecue, hot garlic, honey garlic and plain. There also are burgers, salad and nachos on the menu. Monday night is trivia night. Items on the menu are under $9.
