New owner Leonard Kempers bought Genna Pizza in 2008 after moving to Florida from the Netherlands. With a family with about 100 years in the bakery business, Kempers takes pride in his recipes. The 24-inch house pizza remains one of the house specialties. Since buying the business from Gerald Genna, Kempers had added two booths for patrons. Overall, the eatery seats up to 25 people. "It looks more like a local pizza place now," Kempers said. Genna Pizza offers 14-inch pizzas starting at $3.99 as a daily lunch special from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Calzones of different types are also a big seller. Items on the menu are under $9.
