At the Heidelberg, everything is made from scratch. Everything also is authentic, from the decor to the German-speaking chef in the back. The owners also are European (Austrian). Service is the best on the East Coast -- impeccable! Cost can be up there, but who can beat caviar and Dom after hours in the bar? Located adjacent to Heidi's Jazz Club. Items on the menu range in price from $16 to $25. Heidi's has a new "Patio" menu which features Crab Cakes served on garden greens with cocktail sauce, Quiche of the day, Brie Burger with cream brie served on a Kaiser roll, Ceasar Salad with grilled shrimp or chicken. All dishes are served with bread and sweet cream butter, and made by Chef Edmund. Prices for the "Patio" menu range from $9 to $12. Dishes from the dinner menu are available all day long, and the bar opens at 11 a.m.
