Conquers the rock world (2004)
Still bored with rap, Jay-Z decided in 2004 that he might like to be a rock star, too. He collaborated with alternative rockers Linkin Park for the “Collision Course EP,” and earned a Grammy Award the following year in the category of Best Rap/Sung Collaboration for the haunting song “Numb/Encore.” He's shown here performing that song at the Grammys with LP's Chester Bennington.
