Hosts of ABC's morning talk show The View wished co-host and veteran ABC news correspondent Barbara Walters well on Tuesday morning's show.

Walters remains hospitalized after taking a fall at an inauguration party at the British Embassy in Washington Saturday night. She was in town to cover the inauguration.

Whoopi Goldberg read a statement from Walters: "First and foremost, all the people who have called, written and been concerned about me, I'm most appreciative. I'm running a low-grade fever and the doctors are keeping me in the hospital until my temperature is normal. I'm pleased that it is going in the right direction and I will be home soon."

Walters suffered a cut to her forehead during the fall.

The hosts wished her well, and Joy Behar quipped, "She tripped on the same stairs where she once had sex with Churchill."

Goldberg said, "Wow, you learn so much history when you watch this show."
