Blizzard Beach
1801 W. Buena Vista Blvd. -
Lake Buena Vista

Disney's Blizzard Beach, one of its two water parks, is a winter escape. The story behind it is a freak snowstorm melted all the snow at Blizzard Beach, and that's why there are so many waterslides. Fun fact: At Blizzard Beach, the Summit Plummet is the world's tallest freefall waterslide. Wear water shoes or flip-flops and, if you need one to store your stuff, lockers are available for rent. One ride is nearly 13 stories high with a 360-foot-long plume. You go about 50 to 60 mph. Wow! The water park features eateries, a pool bar and snack carts. Hours vary and can change because of weather. Visit http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/parks/blizzard-beach/ .
