Shuttle Launch Experience at Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex
Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex, SR 405, Merritt Island offers a behind-the-scenes look at NASA’s space program, space shuttle and rocket launches, see the shuttle launch pads, walk under the Saturn V rocket, the Rocket Garden, experience “Mad Mission to Mars 2005,” IMAX films and visit the Astronaut Hall of Fame featuring astronaut mementos, historic spacecraft, hands-on activities, virtual moonwalk, G-force simulator, land a shuttle and sit at a mission control console. Hours are 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. daily, except Christmas Day and some launch days. The cost is $38 plus tax for adults; $28 plus tax for children ages 3-11.
