Musical entertainment also is planned. This Saturday, hear classic rock from Overtime.

Also scheduled:
Jimbo and the No Shows playing rockabilly, July 11
Invisible Ink playing alternative and southern rock, July 18

Although the Paws On children’s area will be closed to the public, the zoo is offering a night hike series on those Saturdays for kids ages 4 to 12 that will include exclusive use of Paws On, crafts, games, animal encounters and a pizza dinner. The night hikes are themed along the lines of Animal Adaptations (July 11 and Aug. 8), Radical Reptiles (July 18 and Aug. 15), Animal Athletes (July 25 and Aug. 22), and Nocturnal Creatures (Aug. 1 and 29). Kids’ night hikes are $19 for members (three for $45) or $22 for nonmembers (three for $57). Register by calling 254-9453, ext. 219.

Summer Saturday Nights are sponsored by Bright House Networks, Health First Health Plans, Metro PCS and National City, part of PNC Bank.
