What: The Wet Spot, one of the few bars in Brevard that opens at 7 a.m.
Where: 3650 U.S. 1, Palm Bay; 321-728-3055
Hours: 7 a.m. to 2 a.m. daily

Entertainment:
Jam night is at 8 p.m. Wednesdays. Wet Spot says it always has a different band. Once a month there are different themed parties. Look for giveaways, $1 Jello shots and different bands. Coming up in September? A toga party.

Happy hour and drink specials: From 7 to 10 a.m., 4 to 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. to midnight weekdays, get 50 cents off anything. A $1.35 beer will set you back for 80 cents. On Fridays during happy hour, if you wear a Wet Spot T-shirt you get 25-cent draft beers.
The bar has daily drink specials.

Ladies night: Starting at 8 p.m. Tuesdays, women get two-for-one on anything.

Food and drink:
If you get the munchies, Wet Spot serves subs, cheese sticks and bar food. It has a full liquor bar and packaged beer for sale. You can get margaritas and martinis here, too.

Atmosphere: Wet Spot describes itself as “everybody’s bar.” If you like a friendly atmosphere with slightly cheaper drinks and entertainment — 25 cents for pool on Saturday and free darts always — this bar is for you.

Most expensive drink: We hear everything’s really cheap. The most expensive, Wet Spot says, would be its long island iced tea for $5.

Crowd: On the night we went the Wet Spot was hosting a luau, and many were decorated with leis and Hawaiian decor. A good size, friendly crowd showed for the festivities with the majority in their 30s, 40s and 50s. Live music outside entertained patrons as they sipped on drinks while chatting it up with friends. Later in the night rains forced the party indoors which was smoky, dark and loud, we find this typical of most bars though. The atmosphere was pretty low key, not real crazy, a good place to stop in for a drink.

Cover charge: Never

Smoking: Yes

Ages: 18 and up until about 6 p.m.

Dress code: Shoes and shirts required

Parking: On site
