What: County Line Saloon, a jack-of-all-trades when it comes to entertainment
Where: 4650 W. New Haven Ave., Melbourne; 321-726-0146; countylinefl.com
Hours: 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. Tuesday, 7 to 10 p.m. Wednesday, 7 p.m. to 2 a.m. Thursday, 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. Friday, 7 p.m. to 2 a.m. Saturday and 7 to 10 p.m. Sunday

Ladies night:
On Thursday nights, women get in free until 11 p.m. and drink beer for $2.

Entertainment:
You’ll see a range of events, from full-contact fighting to truck racing in the mud pits out back to appearances from the women of “Girls Gone Wild.” It’s hip-hop night on Thursday, rock on Friday and country on Saturday. County Line has dueling piano shows on the first Friday of the month. Admission is $10. Boxing is once a month, too — the last Friday of the month — for $20. Tuesday’s karaoke at 9 p.m.

Food and drink: No food, but there is a full liquor bar. The most popular drink at the County Line? They tell us it’s Bud Light. But we hear they’ll serve anything — beer and shots. Just go easy on the fru-fru drinks. It’s a “Jack and Coke” kind of bar.

Events: Truck racing in the mud pit outside with 4-by-4s is on the fourth Saturday of the month. For $5, you can watch big trucks duke it out.

Atmosphere: People may have a misconception about County Line; it’s not just a country bar.

Crowd: We went on a Thursday hip-hop night, and patrons of all ages, 18 and up and all types made their way to County Line. From the time we arrived to the time we left, a steady stream filed in looking for a good time. The crowd was fun, friendly and flirty. Country music early in the night had several line dances. Dance music at midnight, however, seemed to bring everyone to the dance floor. County Line is open and spacious with plenty of room for mingling. Two large bars with great bartenders made our wait time for a drink minimal.

Cover charge: Normally $5

Smoking: Yes

Ages: 18 and older

Dress code: Anything goes

Parking: On site, but on some event nights, be prepared for a bit of a walk. Rest assured, County Line says it can fit a lot of people (and their rides).
