Cocoa Village Playhouse
The grand dame of Brevard County theater, Cocoa Village Playhouse has entertained the Space Coast since 1924 when it first opened its doors as the Aladdin Theatre. In 1985, Brevard Community College bought the historic building, now on the National Register of Historic Places. BCC has operated the playhouse since, offering an eclectic and unique selection of theatrical productions. The Playhouse excels in musicals, from the edgy "Jekyll and Hyde" to the frothy "Gentlemen Prefer Blondes." An annual season typically features five productions. The Playhouse also is home to Brevard Ballet Theatre and serves as a venue of choice for other cultural organizations.
